2024 Insider Shiraz Malbec
A traditional Clare Valley blend of Shiraz and Malbec made with enjoyment front of mind. Aromatically, the wine is a mix of pretty highlights from the Shiraz and darker black fruits that are commonly associated with Malbec. A savoury nose of spice, cured meats, cloves and purple fruits with a classic bunchy drive. A spritely wine that is light on its feet, flaunting its fruit, sinewy tannins and a savoury detail. 35% whole-bunch ferment provides this wine with spice and texture. A unique twist on an old favourite.

Growing Conditions
It was an early start to vintage, due to warmer and drier than average conditions. The first white grapes were picked in late January, with the last of the reds in the winery by the first week of March. Some challenging conditions, however with the hard work by both vineyard and winery teams, we saw some excellent potential from harvested fruit.
Vineyard
Malbec has a long growing history in
Clare Valley. Used extensively in
blends, as well as exceptional single
varietal expressions. Fruit is grown on
our Provis vineyard, situated at the
northern end of the Clare Valley.
