2022 Insider Shiraz Malbec
A traditional Clare Valley blend of Shiraz and Malbec made with enjoyment front of mind. Aromatically, the wine is a mix of pretty highlights from the Shiraz and darker black fruits that are commonly associated with Malbec. A savoury nose of spice, cured meats, cloves and purple fruits with a classic bunchy drive. A spritely wine that is light on its feet, flaunting its fruit, sinewy tannins and a savoury detail. 35% whole-bunch ferment provides this wine with spice and texture. A unique twist on an old favourite.

Growing Conditions
A wet spring, with record November
rain saw full dams and soil moisture
making for a positive start to the
growing season. Favourable
conditions throughout flowering and
fruit set promoting quality and yield
across all varieties. Cool conditions
during December and January
provided long steady ripening
conditions, perfect for developing a
combination of fruit flavours.
Vineyard
The fruit is sourced from a selection of our vineyards situated at the Northern end of the Clare Valley. On red loam soils that are naturally very low yielding and display outstanding intensity and varietal character. Vine ages range from approximately 10 – 30 years old.
