2022 Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Notes

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of juicy blackcurrants, dark chocolate and mint, accented by savoury notes of tobacco leaf. The palate is elegantly structured with classic flavours of chocolate and bay leaf, flowing through to ripe blackberries and fresh thyme to finish. 

Growing Condition

A wet spring, with record November rain saw full dams and soil moisture making for a positive start to the growing season. Favourable conditions throughout flowering and fruit set promoting quality and yield across all varieties. Cool conditions during December and January provided long steady ripening conditions, perfect for developing a combination of fruit flavours

Vineyard

Fruit is grown on our Estate, Yertabulti and Provis vineyards, situated at the northern end of the Clare Valley, this is the perfect climate for maturing our premium red grapes. Vines are 30+ years old.
